Abbott was snoozing soundly in this tiny bed at his Newborn Session in January. Gray and Ivory were the colors of the day for this photo collection. When deciding on colors for your session, we always recommend that you consider the colors in the room you will be displaying your photographs. Want to hang a canvas in the nursery? Be sure your chosen session colors will complement the rest of the nursery decor.
Sweet Harmony! This beautiful baby girl looks like a Snow Princess in her floral cream dress and woodsy winter backdrop. These neutral shades with pops of shimmery gold give this session a Regal feel. Miss Harmony has the sweetest smile and looks so relaxed for her session. I have a feeling her personality matches her namesake!
The Hall Family had a fun session in the studio this winter! With Mom and the boys in ivory, gray and denim against an Ivory backdrop, Kelly produced some bright and classic family photos.
In January, 11 Sixteen Photography hosted Benefit Sessions to benefit the non-profit Worthdays. Caroline Neal is the Founder and Executive Director at Worthdays. A former social worker, Caroline knew firsthand how difficult the Foster System could be on children, and had a vision to make them feel worthy, especially on their birthdays. “Worthdays vision is to ensure that those impacted by the Foster Care system know that they are important, worthy and celebrated.” We are so proud to support and bring awareness to this cause. Every child deserves to be celebrated on their birthday.
Tomorrow, look for a blog post with a collection of our Benefit Sessions for Worthdays!

This Dandelion Yellow wrap, headband and blanket have me thinking of Spring! But June’s newborn session was actually shot back in November. Kelly pulled together sets of Navy Blue, Ivory and Tiffany blue, with some splashes of Raspberry Pink and Gray for a beautiful collection of newborn photos.
The Hite Family came out for a beautiful photo shoot with Denise at a private farm in Glen Allen. The golden sun and the old red barn make for a warm, beautiful backdrop to this new family. Notice how mom and dad chose colors that ever so subtly tie in with the little one’s jean cuffs! Pulling colors from a pattern is a great way to pull together a cohesive look for a session.
Mom and Dad also brought along their Fur-baby! We have a feeling this sweet doggy will be protective of baby!
Saavi gave us the slightest grin in this first photo from her newborn session. Her session features a neutral ivory with splashes of wine red and blush pink. Coming in around the holidays meant she also got a snowy sled photo! Scroll to the bottom to see how protective big brother is over his baby sister!
The Stanwix Family had a beautiful session both indoors and out! With a few photos at Foxhall, and a few more in the studio. this Family ended up with a gorgeous gallery.

Delaney’s Newborn session is so vibrant with shades of mustard yellow and wine red. Kelly brought Fall into Delaney’s session with this charming wreath that is brimming with fall foliage. This theme continues through all of the sets she used for this session.
Kayli turned 1 Rainbow-style with this adorable Rainbow-themed Cake Smash Session. Kelly makes sure every cake smash has a cohesive look, pulling colors from the outfit to create a beautiful backdrop. The banner and cake are custom-made by Kelly to match the romper and headband. That’s right, Kelly makes all her own cakes for her cake smash sessions!
Ivory, Pine Green, and Navy Blue made for a captivating Newborn Session for Silas. We love the double knotted swaddle in this first set of photos.
These siblings bring a pop of color to the Ivory swaddle with navy, red and denim.
Denise shot this delightful Family Mini Session of the Croxfords in October. I adore the bold Rust, Navy, Red, and Gray color combo against this outdoor backdrop.
These handsome siblings look great with the stone backdrop.
And finally some shots of just Mom. Love the pop of color in her necklace!
Kyle came in for a whale-themed cake smash session, and we love how these photos tell a story. As you can see, he is not quite sure what is happening yet and is very serious about it.
Time to bring in the reinforcements: Big Sister can show Kyle what this cake is for.
Aha! This is yummy, and we got a smile!
Enough with the cake, let’s play with the balloons!
I love this trio of photos! Always a great collage for the first birthday.
