Celia is absolutely stunning in her High School Senior photo session, captured by Denise! A recent graduate of Louisa County High school, Celia is headed to Appalachian State University for college in the fall. This gorgeous session was taken on her grandmother’s farm. The sun flare on these first two photos gives the most beautiful lighting! I love the warmth and vibrancy of this session. Scroll all the way to the bottom for a collage of black and white photos from this session.
Sweet baby Ashby was in the studio last month for a Floral themed newborn session. Newborns are usually their sleepiest right at the start of the session, making it the ideal time to capture the froggy pose. Froggy poses are created using two composite images, in which the baby’s head is supported from the top and bottom. Safety is always our #1 priority.
The Rigsby Family met up with Denise for a beautiful session in this field of yellow flowers. This sibling photo just melts my heart!
Lily gave us a sweet smile in this first photo from her session. The headband she’s wearing is one of my favorites - it is so simple and delicate. Scroll down to see big sister Juniper pose for a few shots with her baby sister. Siblings (and parents!) are always welcome in photographs during Newborn Sessions.
We typically start our Newborn Session blog posts with a photo of just the baby, but this black and white family photo from Ella’s session captured me! Parents and siblings are always welcome to be photographed during our Newborn sessions.
Handsome Jacob was in the studio for his Newborn Session with Kelly in April. I couldn’t decide on this first photo which I liked best: Color or Black & White? So I posted both and you can decide!
Rhys was a champ for his Newborn Session with Kelly, and this navy against sage blue is making me swoon!
Atticus is another one of our clients who is taking part in Baby’s First Year! He was in the studio last month for his Milestone Session and my goodness, has he grown! A happy boy with plenty of smiles for us!
The Lawrence and Kell Families came out for back-to-back Family Sessions, and a few shots together. You can see the friendship between these families in these first few photographs!
Nathan’s sailboat neck tie was the inspiration for this ocean-themed cake smash session. Pulling colors from the tie, Kelly created this ocean-wave cake smash cake, with red beading (which Nathan loved!) and balloons and pom pops to match. The banner in the back matches his tie! This Cake Smash Session was the final session for Nathan’s Baby’s First Year Program!
Juliana is cute as a button in her milestone session in the studio! We love the clean look of these first photos, in shades of ivory and white. To match her Burberry-esque plaid dress, we opted for a darker background and added in textures with a basket and various fillers.
Juliana was in the studio to celebrate her 2nd birthday with a photo shoot! You may recognize Juliana from her baby sister Madelyn’s Newborn Session last week. Juliana loves Minnie Mouse, her baby sister, and posing for adorable photos!
These two beautiful ladies were in the studio for a Mommy & Me Session with Kelly. As Moms we all know those snuggles with our babies are precious, so we are pleased we can capture some of them in photographs! Come snuggle with your kiddos on our comfy bed in the studio and let us capture some photos of your kids with YOU in them!
Ada was full of sweet smiles for her milestone session!
Milestone Sessions can be shot at any important date in your child’s life (Birthdays, Christenings, etc), or to capture a phase such as sitting, pulling up, or standing. Packages and pricing are available on the Milestone page of our website.
Khalid is wrapped up so snug with a beautiful knot in this first photo from his newborn session. Kelly is a master at wrapping babies! This was a colorful session, bringing in red, green, yellow and blue!
Malik rocked his newborn session in February with smiles, lots of sleeping, and a couple open-eyed photos. Grandma brought in this adorable teddy that was the perfect accessory for this shot. It looks like Malik thought so, too! Malik’s family requested gray and red as the main colors for his session.
Look at these beautiful blues on baby Madelyn! Who says a newborn needs to be asleep for the perfect shot? Madelyn did have some sleepy photos as well, and we were able to do the ever-popular Froggy Pose. Loving the muted colors in this session: Sage Blue, Lavender and Ivory.
