Vera was inside (and outside!) the studio for her Milestone session with Kelly, and we are in love with this adorable lace-trimmed lavender romper she wore! Her toothy grins made for an adorable gallery.
The Campbell Family, friends of Kelly’s, had her come to their beautiful home on the James River for a photo shoot on their property with their grandchildren.
Grinning for Kelly, Ashton put his best face forward for his Newborn Session with Kelly. This session was purely wraps, hats and backdrops in various colors, with no props.
Precious Skylee was a dream baby for her session, and her gallery is stunning! Big Brother Elon joined her for a few shots as well, and he couldn’t have nailed his part any better!
Charley was in the studio last month for a floral-inspired shoot, where Kelly pulled colors from the lavender and hydrangeas used in the session. Charley was the perfect model, posing for both sleepy shots and awake ones!
This set Kelly created for AJ’s seaside cake smash was the flawless: the waves, the sand, the shells! Who else is counting down until their beach vacation? Scroll down to see a few non-cake shots of AJ in the studio, and some family shots outdoors as well!
Meet Bryson, who shares a birthday with the latest Royal Baby, Master Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, and therefore won a free newborn session with us! I’d be smiling, too, Bryson!
Finn was a sweet, handsome boy for his newborn session. In this first photo he’s all snuggled up in sage blue in varying textures. Using a variety of textures gives the photographs more dimension, and in some cases can provide a pop of color as well.
Shannon brought her three kids to the studio to take advantage of our Mommy & Me special this month!
We had two Colins in the studio the same week for a Milestone session! This is Colin G, who came in for a Nautical themed milestone session. Kelly delivered with this adorable boat (which was actually a shelf that she repurposed!) and a ship wheel to use as props for these first few photos. She also managed to squeeze in a few outdoor shots for this session!
Katie brought Isabelle to the studio for a Mommy & Me Session! There were plenty of tickles, snuggles and giggles!
Delaney was back in the studio for a special Milestone Session with Kelly - a Milk Bath! This was Mom’s request, and Kelly’s first attempt - I’d say she nailed it! You may remember Delaney from her gorgeous Fall Newborn Session. Delaney is participating in our Baby’s First Year Program, so we’ll be seeing her again for her Cake Smash session in a few months!
It was another beautiful Yellow Flower Session by Denise for the Smith Family!
Evelyn’s Bunny Themed Cake Smash session was perfect for a Spring birthday (and also timely for Easter!) Those bunny ears! Evelyn’s big sister came to her Cake Smash to join in a few photos as well.
Sweet baby Ashby was in the studio last month for a Floral themed newborn session. Newborns are usually their sleepiest right at the start of the session, making it the ideal time to capture the froggy pose. Froggy poses are created using two composite images, in which the baby’s head is supported from the top and bottom. Safety is always our #1 priority.
Lily gave us a sweet smile in this first photo from her session. The headband she’s wearing is one of my favorites - it is so simple and delicate. Scroll down to see big sister Juniper pose for a few shots with her baby sister. Siblings (and parents!) are always welcome in photographs during Newborn Sessions.
We typically start our Newborn Session blog posts with a photo of just the baby, but this black and white family photo from Ella’s session captured me! Parents and siblings are always welcome to be photographed during our Newborn sessions.
Handsome Jacob was in the studio for his Newborn Session with Kelly in April. I couldn’t decide on this first photo which I liked best: Color or Black & White? So I posted both and you can decide!
